About Us

iCare Transportation Services was created in the Lowcountry of South Carolina in 2022, but it started long before that. Our founder’s journey began when he was just a small child witnessing his parents sacrifice daily. Born to a Licensed Practical Nurse and an Army (Vietnam) Veteran, he was no stranger to a life of service. He watched his father (post military) go from being an avid baseball player to losing his leg due to a medical condition and the struggles that ensued as his mother became the sole caregiver of his father. This lit a motivating fire in him to help others in need.

Shortly after his father’s passing, his mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease which led to him becoming her caregiver while serving our country in the Marine Corps. This disease changed their lives! His mother eventually lost her ability to walk and would have to use a wheelchair due to a decline in mobility. Once she was no longer able to stand and transfer into a regular (non-modified) vehicle, our owner struggled to find ways to transport her to appointments and other daily activities. When looking for local services, there were not many available that could support their needs.

It was then that iCare Transportation Services was created. There are so many of us that share a similar story, and so many of us that could use support. We understand what it’s like to be the caregiver, the spouse, the son, the daughter, the brother, the sister, the grandchild, and close friend of a person with mental or physical challenges. We know what it’s like to take a step back from your own pursuits to ensure your loved one can maintain the same comforts they have been accustomed to. We also understand that sometimes, things cannot be as they were, and we are prepared to assist families in need along the way.
